Earth System Science is a graduate course that incorporates the development of Problem Based Learning (PBL) modules focused on the water cycle, the environmental stewardship of the Chesapeake Bay and Virginia's watersheds. The year long course (2007-2008) is offered to Portsmouth City Public School teachers by Hampton University and funded by SCHEV.

Hampton University and Portsmouth Public Schools Partner:
Providing teachers with a graduate course focused on Earth System Science content; hands-on data collection; and Problem-Based Learning (PBL) techniques for the classroom.
