Earth System Science is a graduate course that incorporates the development of Problem Based Learning (PBL) modules focused on the water cycle, the environmental stewardship of the Chesapeake Bay and Virginia’s watersheds. The year long course (2007-2008) is offered to Portsmouth City Public School teachers by Hampton University and funded by SCHEV.
Hello, my name is Al Beamon. I am currently a Technology Resource Teacher 1 at James Hurst Elementary School. This is my 11th year in the education field and my first year in Technology. Over the course of those 11 years, I have experienced grades one through five. All of this was made possible after I received my bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education at Norfolk State University in 1996.
