I was in the car business for 20 years--as a service adviser when I took the plunge at age 36 to quit the security of my job and enroll full-time as a college student. I went to TCC and then Norfolk State. My first teaching position was 4th grade in Norfolk Public Schools. I have taught 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades. I am currently a Technology Resource Teacher at Waters Middle School in Portsmouth Public Schools. I completed a Masters in Education in Reading three years ago.
