AIM Engages Hampton University Students

  • Operate Project Data Center
    • Collect data from AIM remote sites
    • Develop/host common data user interface
    • Maintain data information system
    • Archive data in the NSSDC
  • Learn remote sensing retrieval techniques
  • Train in Satellite Flight Operations Methods
    • SOFIE flight operations team working with GATS
    • OASIS instrument/ flight data S/W and satellite command and control operations training by CU/LASP
  • Intern with AIM H/W partners to learn instrument techniques
  • Gain experience in science data analysis and Education and Public Outreach (EPO)

The CREST Program

The CREST program gives students hands-on experience with meteorological equipment. A dome sits atop the atmospheric lab that houses the CAS lidar system.
