Abstract: Amateur Astronomy Activities in the Hampton Roads Region are frequent and welcoming to all. Make some new AstroBuddies and share the joy of the night sky. Many local amateur astronomy groups are identified along with their primary events and group foci. Local Observational Astronomy is very much alive and well. You will learn how to read a Skymap and where to look to catch a view of Comet Lovejoy and Jupiter from campus.
