Broadcast Satellite (DBS) system with the satellite radiance measurements,
derived product algorithms, and applications of the imaging and sounding

Day 1 – Aqua, Metop, and S-NPP/JPSS Satellite Imaging Instruments (MODIS,
AVHRR, and VIIRS

Day 2 – Imaging Products and Applications (surface temperature & vegetation;
cloud height, mask & optical depth; aerosol concentration & optical depth; fire
location & ground coverage, ocean products )

Day 3 – Sounding Instruments (AIRS, IASI, and CrIS) Products and Applications
(atmospheric profiles of temperature & water vapor; cloud altitude and optical
depth; surface skin temperature, atmospheric stability, severe weather)

Day 4 – Student Satellite Data Investigations (explore S-NPP or Aqua/Terra
observations using local HU antenna data and provide presentations of studies )
